Myofascial Referral Pain has been one of my main focuses for over 20 years in practice. Countless hours in training, study, and coursework has garnered me a high degree of competency on the topic.

There are conditions which can mimic migraines or sciatica but are likely muscular in origin. This phenomenon is called referred pain, can be reliably mapped out in specific patterns, and it is more common than one thinks. It can appear in almost any area of your body and is caused by trigger points that can rear its ugly head for various reasons.

These types of pain syndromes can confuse both physicians and patients alike. The inability to correctly diagnose and properly treat often leads to prolonged pain and frustration.
