What We Do...

Dr. Reyes has been successfully diagnosing the hidden sources and patterns of pain (trigger point referral pain) since 2004. Over the years he has developed an effective protocol to relieve patient's acute pain, correcting physical muscle imbalances often due to overuse or improper mechanics,  and, in many  instances over the years, has helped his patients avoid more invasive treatments, surgical procedures and medication.

Do You Have Pain With No Relief In Sight?

Is it possible to feel pain in your wrist when the cause is a muscle in your forearm? Or you have pain behind your eye and forehead when the source is in the upper shoulder? Yes. There are conditions which can mimic migraine headaches or sciatica but are muscular in origin. This phenomenon is called referred pain, and it is more common than you think. It can appear in almost any area of your body and is caused by trigger points in a muscle. A trigger point can rear its ugly head for various reasons. It is my job as a clinician to sit and brainstorm with the patient and get to the root of the root cause, whether it be bad habits, overuse, or possible metabolic issues.

Referred pain is a pain or sensation that is felt far from the actual source. This type of pain syndrome can confuse both physicians and patients. The inability to be correctly diagnosed and properly treated often leads to prolonged pain and frustration.

The knowledgeable physician is wise to understand referred pain patterns to ensure that these disorders are treated effectively.

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, arm and leg pains, and headaches.

Doctors of Chiropractic – often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians – practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
