Dr. Albert Reyes is from the Echo Park neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. He received his bachelor's degree in art and graduate degree in elementary education from California State University at Northridge. He then embarked on a career as an elementary school teacher working for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

He graduated from Chiropractic education at Cleveland University of Chiropractic and Health Sciences in Los Angeles, earning a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine, followed with a postceptorship at a prominent Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic in Santa Monica.
Dr. Reyes worked as an associate at a multidisciplinary medical clinic in Beverly Hills where he worked with orthopedic surgeons and pain management, applying scientific-based principles for rehabilitation of post-surgical and musculoskeletal conditions.
It was during this time in practice that his philosophy started to shift. He surmised the following:
A bone typically isn't “out of place”. It is a joint that isn’t moving the way it should— muscles and fascia play a major role.
Muscles and Fascia Control Joint Motion
Every joint is surrounded by:
-
Muscles that create movement
-
Fascia that connects and stabilizes those muscles
-
A nervous system that coordinates timing and tone
When muscles or fascia become tight, irritated, or overactive, they can pull unevenly on a joint.
Over time, this can lead to:
-
Restricted joint motion
-
Altered joint positioning during movement
-
Increased joint stiffness or irritation

This philosophy has been the basis for his 'outside the box' treatment style .
Dr. Reyes is a member of the International Myopain Society, certified in Sports Nutrition, certified in Neuromuscular Stretching by the national academy of Sports Medicine, and certified in Rehabilitation and Sports Performance. He was among the early practitioners of Shock-Wave Therapy, having been certified by Siemens in 2004 on the Sonocur, the cutting edge hospital grade device at time.

He lives in Charleston with his wife, twin daughters, and their black lab, Luna. He is a runner, enjoys weightlifting, and an avid Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner.

"The Doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."
